State-of-the-Art Research Space
DesignGroup is part of the architectural team for this new 70,000 SF Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab in Reynoldsburg, OH. The new building will replace the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture’s existing lab and allow for additional staff, improved capacity for diagnostic testing, and better energy efficiency—and ultimately strengthen the state’s ability to detect, respond to, and mitigate emerging and emergency animal diseases.
The facility includes upgraded BSL-2 and BSL-3 containment laboratories designed to safely manage infectious disease testing and provide secure environments through multi-level lab zoning for diagnostic workflows. The lab will feature modular and moveable laboratory systems that allow rapid reconfiguration as new testing protocols, pathogens, or technologies emerge.
