Raun Love

AIA, CDT, CCCA, NOMA, NCARB, LEED AP, EDAC

Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager

With his natural gifts for drawing and creativity, Raun originally saw two paths his life could take: architecture or animation. He continues to admire and enjoy the genius of Walt Disney animators, Imagineers, and creators of immersive environments. It’s not hard to see a connection between that and what he does today.

Raun was the first hire in DesignGroup’s Indianapolis studio. Born and raised in Indy, he has deep roots in the city, a personal connection to the work we do, and a genuine appreciation for the people and organizations that make the city such a special place.

Raun attended Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning, where he earned both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design. He also minored in Business, a decision that helped shape his career path. His role of leading and growing the Indianapolis office combines his passions for design, leadership, and business development.

LIke many of his peers, Raun discovered an early interest in architecture through drawing, building with LEGO bricks, and – perhaps most meaningfully – completing connect-the-dot puzzles. As a Project Manager, that’s what he does today: connects teams, solves problems, and champions creative, cost-effective solutions for DesignGroup clients.

Raun found early inspiration during a high school summer program at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he experienced iconic skyscrapers and landmarks in person for the first time. That sealed his desire to pursue architecture and the built environment. Today, he instills inspiration in the next generation through his work with the ACE Mentor Program and the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students.
