Plus, you'll provide invaluable assistance to our Project Managers in managing project hours and budgets. Your role:

  • Utilizing computer-based business management systems to facilitate financial operations.
  • Precisely recording payments and invoicing clients.
  • Managing vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Executing payments for vendor invoices and employee expenses.
  • Maintaining, organizing, and archiving client and vendor invoices.
  • Managing the company checkbook and updating the weekly cash report.
  • Methodically reconciling credit card statements.
  • Carrying out payroll functions, encompassing data collection, record-keeping, and transmission to Paycom, our HRIS.
  • Safeguarding the confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Assisting in new project setup.
  • Identifying and communicating procedural issues and recommending improvements in office operations, software, and equipment.
  • Providing valuable support to firm principals on special projects.
  • Demonstrating effective collaboration with other divisions and staff, and promptly responding to information requests.
  • Committing to attending at least one annual continuing education seminar and participating in in-house professional development opportunities.
  • Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality regarding company information.

Qualifications

  • An associate degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • A solid grasp of financial regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Expertise in the use of Paycom or a similar Human Resources system is highly desirable, demonstrating a proficiency in managing payroll and related HR processes efficiently.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping, financial transactions, expense reports, and bank reconciliation.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Additional certifications or registrations are a big plus.
