When DesignGroup started work with The Imaging Institute, the project focused on equipment replacement. But the team quickly realized that the Institute’s facility was segregated, inefficient, and inadequate for providing quality patient care – a full renovation was needed.
The project pivoted to include a new design and streamlined floor plan. Imaging treatment rooms feature ceilings with realistic images of nature, providing a calming environment and a welcome distraction for patients during procedures.
This project shows that evidence-based design and careful planning can not only improve hospital efficiency, but also elevate the visitor experience and improve patient outcomes.
