DesignGroup is currently designing a dynamic new residential condominium for Borror Properties in the heart of the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Ohio. On a postage stamp sized site, DesignGroup creatively fit 14 for-sale luxury condos with parking for 18 cars. This five story building is a departure from Borror Property’s typical design approach and DesignGroup was selected for their ability to effectively work with neighborhood design review boards to achieve progressive design within historic districts, which they did so .

Also included in the project is a piece of public art – “200 Tiles,” which the Short North Alliance commissioned  in 2012 as part of the city’s bicentennial celebration.  Each 8” x 8” tile was painted by a different artist to show off their unique style and interpretation of their little slice of Columbus. The piece will be mounted on an exterior wall near the northwest corner of the building at street level and will serve as a unique way to brand the building as well as to connect to the public art program of the district.
