Fairfield Medical Center’s Project “BRIGHT” (Build, Revitalize and Innovate for Greater Healthcare Tomorrow) began construction in September 2013. This new Surgery/ICU Expansion project will feature 11 OR’s and 36 patient rooms. The new surgery wing will allow Fairfield Medical Center to have expanded operating rooms, 100 percent private patient rooms, advanced technology, such as robotic equipment, and improved family waiting areas.

This project sets a new standard of care. New patient rooms will be acuity adaptable and allow for future flexibility for varying patient needs. A new, enhanced entry with improved wayfinding will connect the existing hospital to the new addition. This project is being designed for future vertical expansion.
