LendingHome is a web-based home mortgage company headquartered in San Francisco. Due to their rapid growth, LendingHome was seeking scale up space for the east coast Pittsburgh division and decided to triple their current size office by moving to the 2nd floor of NOVA Tower 2 in Allegheny Square. They were seeking a flexible open floor plan to accommodate their anticipated 10 year growth.
DesignGroup developed a flexible open office environment that enabled future growth for the client. This included open workstations, a variety of small medium and large meeting rooms along with phone booths distributed throughout the office. Since the employee workspace was a dense open office environment, open collaboration areas, meeting rooms, and phone booths allow employees privacy for client meetings, personal phone calls, and stand up meetings. Design worksession meetings were a collaborative process engaging the future tenant LendingHome, and the landlord
Incorporating their Brand
In addition to a flexible work environment, LendingHome wanted to make sure their corporate culture was incorporated in the design. The didn’t want their open office space to feel impersonal, institutional or “corporate.” The workplace should be fun and social, which was achieved through the colors and textures used throughout the space as well as the creation of the café hub. DesignGroup collaborated with LendingHome’s internal brand expert to include bold accent colors in feature spaces such as the entry, meeting rooms, and café hub. The café hub is a vibrant welcoming social space due to warm natural accent materials, the large kitchen island, and variety of seating types.
